Mr. Rick Mathern

Mr. Mathern taught PE at St. Philomena starting in 2016-17. In 2020-21 he transitioned to a classroom teacher for 5th grade. He has been teaching since 2007 and has taught kindergarten through twelfth grade students during that time.  Mr. Mathern is from Bismarck, ND and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education from University of North Dakota.  He is married and has four children, Daniel, Leo, Diana and Rosalind.  Mr. Mathern enjoys coaching wrestling.
