Tanners Apple Cider Donuts

For the first time ever, Tanners Orchard is offering this fundraiser to help schools earn money and St. Philomena School will be one of the first to participate. You can order delicious Tanner’s Apple Cider Donuts by the dozen and pick them up to enjoy with your family in November. Orders are due November 4 and pick up will be November 14 from 2-6pm in the Parish Center.

Bible Blessing

On Friday, September 20 our fifth grade students received their Bibles from Father David in a special ceremony after school Mass. The students had a chance to look up some passages and participate in a discussion with Father David. They did a great job.

St. Philomena Cords

The St. Philomena cord is a devotional item worn by someone as a reminder of St. Philomena as well as to ask her prayers. The 6th-8th graders worked on growing in devotion to St. Philomena by reading about her life and and studying her example of heroic virtue. We also prayed a novena for her intercession and on the 9th day received blessed St. Philomena cords from Fr. David. The cords are made of red and white threads with a knot on either end, reminding us of both her martyrdom and purity.

September Dinner Out: LaGondola/Leonardo’s

Join us for our first Dinner Out of the school year on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at LaGondola/Leonardo’s in Peoria. Bring the flyer to the Peoria LaGondola/Leonardo’s on War Memorial between 4:00-9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 and they will donate 20% of your bill to St. Philomena PTO.
