There is a second collection this weekend for the Diocesan Seminarian Fund. Thank you in advance for your generosity. If you wish to donate by check, please make it payable to Catholic Diocese of Peoria Office of Priestly Vocations.
The parish office is closed Thursday and Friday this week (Nov. 22 and 23) for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Scrip will not be sold after Mass this weekend (Nov. 24 and 25).
Wreath and green pick up is this weekend in the rectory garage after Mass (except 7:30pm) and on Monday from 2-3pm. There are still a few items available for purchase if you missed the presale. Stop by the rectory garage and see Megan or Renee.
Giving Trees are up in the link. Please follow the directions on the tag for each gift. All gifts are due back no later than the 7:30pm Mass on Sunday, December 2, but can be returned before that date. Thank you for your continued generosity.
To kick-start the fundraising for our new church endowment fund, (which Father David announced in September during the annual state of the parish), we are participating in the national #GivingTuesday campaign. #GivingTuesday is November 27, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Our goal is to receive 200 gifts of any amount that day to go to our church endowment. To give online, go to our website: https://www.stphils.com/church/serve/contribute/ and click where it says Online Giving. If you’d like to give in a traditional way, we appreciate those gifts as well. Gifts received between now and November 28 will go toward our #GivingTuesday goal. Thank you for your support.
Attention Parents of 2nd & 8th Graders: please plan to attend our parent meetings:
- Nov. 28: confirmation parent meeting, banquet room, 6:30pm;
- Nov. 29: first reconciliation/Communion parent meeting, banquet room, 6:30pm.
Be a part of our Wednesday or Saturday church cleaning crews. Each crew cleans about once-a-month after 8am Mass. It is not a deep cleaning, but rather a sprucing up preparing for the weekend and takes about 1.5 hours. If you are interested, please contact the parish office, fill out the information in the bulletin or visit our Service Groups page on the website and fill out the form under Church Cleaning (https://www.stphils.com/church/serve/groups/).
The next Women’s Night is Monday, December 3 at 7:00pm in the parish center banquet room. Come join us to socialize with wine and cheese. If you’d like to participate in a cookie exchange, bring 3-4 dozen cookies and a separate container to take the cookies you choose home. If you have an Advent decoration or tradition you would be happy to have on display, drop it off after Mass in the link on December 1 or 2. You’ll bring it home on December 3 after the social. In January, Women’s Nights will switch to Thursdays, starting with January 10.
Tiny Tigers Moms’ Group will meet three more times before Christmas on Nov. 30, Dec. 7 & 14. See the Nov. 25 bulletin for topics. Anchor Moms Prayer Group will meet on last time before Christmas on Dec. 7.
