Join other St. Philomena families for a fun evening of college basketball. Purchase tickets in advance to the Bradley vs. New Mexico men’s basketball game on Saturday, December 1 at 7pm for only $6 a ticket. Tickets are located in an end zone section, there is no limit on the number of tickets you can purchase. To order your tickets, fill out the form in the bulletin and send exact cash or check payable to Bradley University to the parish office, place in the collection or send through school to the attention of the BRADLEY BASKETBALL TICKETS. Orders and payment must be received by Tuesday, November 20 so we can receive and distribute tickets after Thanksgiving.  If you have questions, contact Rhonda Parker (rhonpark@stphils.com or 309-682-8642).

There is a second collection this weekend for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development. Thank you in advance for your generosity. If you wish to donate by check, please make it payable to St. Philomena. There are envelopes at each entrance if you’d like to put cash in an envelope.

Sister Irene will be selling the Rolan Johnson Christmas ornaments here at St. Philomena Parish  on Nov. 17-18 after Masses (not 7:30pm). The 2018 Christmas Ornament is $35. Ornaments may also be purchased using PayPal on their website www.westpeoriasisters.org Proceeds benefit the Sisters’ Retirement Fund.

Giving Trees will be up this weekend in the link. Please follow the directions on the tag for each gift. All gifts are due back no later than the 7:30pm Mass on Sunday, December 2. Thank you for your continued generosity.

To kick-start the fundraising for our new church endowment fund, (which Father David announced in September during the annual state of the parish), we are participating in the national #GivingTuesday campaign. #GivingTuesday is November 27, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Our goal is to receive 200 gifts that day to go to our church endowment. You can help us by prayerfully considering what your family can do to help us kick-start the fundraising. Watch our social media, website and email for the link to give online. If you’d like to give in a traditional way, we appreciate those gifts as well. Thank you for your support.

Be a part of our Wednesday or Saturday church cleaning crews. Each crew cleans about once-a-month after 8am Mass. It is not a deep cleaning, but rather a sprucing up preparing for the weekend and takes about 1.5 hours. If you are interested, please contact the parish office, fill out the information in the bulletin or visit our Service Groups page on the website and fill out the form under Church Cleaning (https://www.stphils.com/church/serve/groups/).

November’s Dinner Out for St. Philomena School will be Monday, November 19 from 4-8pm at the Panera at Westlake. A portion of all eligible purchases with the flyer (either hard copy or electronic) will go back to our school. See the November 18 bulletin.

From the student council: Thank you to all of the parishioners who participated in the canned food drive. The parishioners raised almost 700 cans, contributing to the almost 6,000 cans raised by the entire canned food drive. This event was very successful and will be very impactful in the lives of the hungry people they will be given to. Once again, thank you for participating and making a difference.
