As a follow up to our Surviving the Holidays seminar, we will offer a 13-week GriefShare grief recovery seminar beginning on Wednesday, January 9 at 6:30pm. GriefShare is a weekly video seminar featuring some of the nation’s foremost experts on grief recovery topics. Each seminar is combined with small group discussion time to allow group participants to talk about the content of the seminar and how they are dealing with the death of their loved one. Our next Financial Peace University will begin on January 21, 2019. This nine-week series will be held on Monday Nights, 6:30-8:00 pm in the Parish Center Banquet Room. Join us for this Dave Ramsey study led by Brian Winschel. Childcare provided with notice. Send in an inquiry or register by filling out the registration form online .

St. Philomena School presents Winter Whimsical 2019, A Celebration of the Arts on Saturday, January 12 in the St. Philomena Parish Center banquet room. Doors open at 5:30pm. Join us for an evening of entertainment provided by some of Peoria’s top performers, such as Cheri Beever, Bryan Blanks, Bruce Colligan, Barb Couri, and Chip Joyce. You might even see a few St. Philomena alumni. Hors d’oeuvres and dessert will be provided and a cash bar will be available. Must be 21 or older to attend. Tickets are $30 each and are on sale at the parish office or online by clicking here. All proceeds will benefit the arts at St. Philomena School. This event sold out last year, so don’t delay. Tiny Tiger Moms’ Group is for moms of children ages 5 and younger. Come connect, have a cup of coffee and share life with other moms living out their God-given mission as a wife and mother. We look forward to sharing life with you. Group meets on Fridays (Jan. 11-Apr. 26, we do not meet when school is out) from 10-11:30am in the Parish Center banquet room. Childcare is provided. Please register online to help us plan for supplies….and coffee.

Join parish women of all ages for our monthly women’s social on Thursday, January 10, at 7:00pm. You can opt to celebrate Three Kings style with an optional gift giving game. If you wish to participate, bring a wrapped, white-elephant gift (something from your home or something to re-gift) or purchase a “favorite thing” (up to a $10 value). Feel free to come and simply enjoy drinks and snacks with other women from the parish. Starting in January, Women’s Nights will be on Thursdays.

Join us in the Parish Center toddler room as Communication Junction presents Sign and Sing StoryTime for children infant-4 years of age. Class meets Thursdays, 8:45-9:15 a.m., cost is $35 per family. The winter session is Jan. 10 – Feb. 28. To register, visit our website. 

The Bosco Boys is a new group for junior high boys at St. Philomena designed for our young men to understand what true Christian manhood looks like. The group will look at today’s culture of masculinity and realign it with the values given to us through the word of God. The Bosco Boys will tackle topics like: Leadership, Friendship, Treatment of Women and Value of Hard Work. For dates and to register, go to our website.
