Thank you from Father Patrick

Dear St. Philomena Community,
I am enjoying my first assignment as a priest at St. Mary’s in Moline and Alleman High School. We had an eventful first week as we welcomed Bishop Lou for a Confirmation, celebrated baptisms and a quinceañera, and honored the Sacred Heart of Jesus with Mass, a Eucharistic Procession, a few hours of Confessions, and all-night Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. I love being a priest!
I would like to thank you all for your kindness and support of me throughout my time in seminary and especially on my ordination day. It was a great blessing to know of the prayers of so many in the school and parish. Thank you especially for your presence and involvement in celebrating my First Mass at St. Philomena on May 27, 2023. It was an unforgettable experience, and I am grateful for all that you did to enable the celebration. From moving tables to baking desserts to serving food, I appreciate your generosity in celebrating the gift of the priesthood of Jesus Christ with me!
May God continue to bless you and the entire St. Philomena community!
Peace of Christ,
Father Patrick Wille
