Dear friend, We are all seeing the increase in cases of COVid-19/coronavirus in the United States. Many of the suburbs of Chicago now have reported cases. Universities are not allowing students to return from spring break, since they can’t ask where they traveled. I saw one report that MIT has told students they likely won’t return until the fall semester....

In June 2020, St. Philomena will once again be a training site for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. We are overjoyed to have Sr. Mary Rose, from the Nashville Dominicans, lead us in our training. Today all Catholic schools of the Peoria Diocese received official communication from the Office of the Bishop and the Office of Catholic Schools regarding COVid-19. All diocesan schools will be closed during the week of March 16-20, 2020. The principal and teachers will be in attendance to solidify E-Learning Plans, should closure need to extend beyond next week. Trial E-Learning...
