School Mass this week is THURSDAY, September 5, NOT FRIDAY.
First Wednesday confession tonight from 5-6pm in the church.
Choir practice will start again on Wed., Sept. 4 from 7-8:30pm in the choir loft. No RSVP necessary, no musical training required. Just a love of singing and desire to serve. If you have questions, contact the parish office.
Treasure in Clay: The Teachings of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Join us as we look at our hometown saint’s life, ministry, and miracles from his autobiography “Treasure in Clay.” No cost to participate. All ages are welcome; come and go as your schedule permits. First session is September 4 in the parish center at 6:30pm. Topic: Who is Sheen. It’s time to kick off the new year with Men’s Club annual fall steak fry dinner! We’ll start the new year at the parish center banquet room on Thursday, September 5 at 6pm. Our famous and tasty ribeye steaks with all the fixins, and of course a great selection of cold refreshments, all for just $15. Tiny Tigers Moms’ Group meets Fridays starting Sept. 6, 10-11:30am. Join other mothers of young children under the age of 5 for a time to be inspired, rest, and renewed as a wife, mother, and daughter of God. Lap babies are welcome, childcare provided for children walking through age 5. Come to the parish center. Sunday Faith Formation is for our parish children in grades PreK-8 who do not attend St. Philomena School. Classes begin on September 8 with a parent meeting. RCIA: Interested in learning more about your Catholic faith? Do you or someone you know need to be Confirmed? Do you know someone who wants to become Catholic? Our Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) classes are something you’ll want to check out. Join us on Tuesday, September 10 at 6:30pm for our annual Come and See meeting. Sign and Sing Story Time with Communication Junction meets on Thursdays, 8:45-9:15am on Sept. 12-Oct 17 for session 1 and Oct. 24-Dec. 5 for session 2 meeting in the parish center basement toddler room.
