Treasure in Clay: The Teachings of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Join us as we look at our hometown saint’s life, ministry, and miracles from his autobiography “Treasure in Clay.” No cost to participate. Tiny Tigers Moms’ Group meets Fridays, 10-11:30am. Join other mothers of young children under the age of 5 for a time to be inspired, rest, and renewed as a wife, mother, and daughter of God. Lap babies are welcome, childcare provided for children walking through age 5. Come to the parish center. Please register in advance so we know to expect you and your children. Sunday Faith Formation is for our parish children in grades PreK-8 who do not attend St. Philomena School. Classes began on September 8 with a parent meeting. If you are new or have questions, contact Father David Richardson or Jenny Witt at faithformation@stphils.com or call the parish office. RCIA: Interested in learning more about your Catholic faith? Do you or someone you know need to be Confirmed? Do you know someone who wants to become Catholic? Our Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) classes are something you’ll want to check out. First class is Tuesday, September 17 at 6:30pm. We will be in the banquet room of the parish center. Sign and Sing Story Time with Communication Junction meets on Thursdays, 8:45-9:15am on Sept. 12-Oct 17 for session 1 and Oct. 24-Dec. 5 for session 2 meeting in the parish center basement toddler room. FORMED St. Philomena parishioners are invited to spend some time on the FORMED website. FORMED is an online platform where you’ll find movies, video programs, Bible studies and inspiring audio talks. Signing up is easy (and FREE): Just go to www.stphils.formed.org and create an account with your name, email and password. No special code necessary.
Join us for our first St. Philomena Parent Night of the year on Wednesday, September 11 from 6:30-8:00pm in the parish center. Two practical topics will be shared with the aim of helping school support home, and home support school. All women of the parish (women of both the church and school) are invited to our Women’s Nights to share faith, fellowship and fun. We welcome and invite all generations of women from St. Philomena. Registration is not required, but you are welcome to let us know to expect you. We meet in the banquet room of the parish center. Here are some of the upcoming events. Mark your calendars!
