Tiger Nation 5k/1mile Walk/Run to benefit our school athletic committee will be Sat., Aug. 10 at 9a.m. The $25 entry fee includes an event T-shirt and beverages after the race. The race will start and finish at the church, with the course running through our neighborhood. Pets are welcome for the 1 mile walk/run. Tell your family, friends and neighbors, and come enjoy some fun. You are encouraged to come to the St. Philomena Festival on Thurs., Aug. 8 to sign in and pick up your shirt. Fall sports (soccer, golf, cross country, girls basketball) registration for St. Philomena School is still open. Register and pay online at www.leaguelineup.com/stphilsathletics. Soccer is open to registered parishioners of St. Philomena Parish who do not attend St. Philomena School. This only applies to soccer.

Festival carnival ride tickets can still be purchased at pre-sale prices in the parish office, Monday-Thursday from 8am-4pm and Friday from 8am-12pm.
Sunday Faith Formation is for our parish children in grades PreK-8 who do not attend St. Philomena School. If you are a returning family, please watch your email for registration instructions. Classes begin on September 8 with a parent meeting. If you are new to Faith Formation or have questions, contact Father David Richardson or Jenny Witt at faithformation@stphils.com or call the parish office.
To help communicate information about the Cause and Beatification for Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, the diocese has launched a new website: celebratesheen.com. All are invited to visit the tomb in the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception, 607 NE Madison Avenue, Peoria: Monday-Friday, 12 – 2pm; Saturday, 3 – 6pm and Sunday, 9am – 2pm.
We will continue to collect shoes at St. Philomena through August 25, 2019. Please deposit your shoes in the box in the main vestibule. Thank you.
