Blood Drive: February 23rd
29 Jan 2019 | Posted by: chadmin
According to the American Red Cross, due to hundreds of cancellations that the Midwest has seen and early closures over the last month due to our weather, the American Red Cross is in a state of emergency need for blood donations. This goes on top of the 27,000 pints of blood that went uncollected over the holidays. So far just in what is considered the Peoria – Chicago Region more than 2,000 pints of blood and counting have been lost due to early closures and cancellations. Anyone who is willing and able is encouraged to come and try to donate.
The annual Kelly Needham Memorial Blood Drive is Saturday, February 23, 2019 in the parish center banquet room from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. To make an appointment, contact the parish office during regular hours or go to www.redcrossblood.org and type in the sponsor code STPHILS.
