Below is our schedule of Masses and services for Holy Week, Triduum and Easter 2024.
Palm Sunday (March 24):
- Vigil, (Saturday): 4:30 p.m.
- Sunday: 7:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 7:30 p.m.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday:
- Mass: 7:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m., 5:30 p.m.
- Confession: 5:00 p.m.
Holy Thursday (March 28)
- Mass of the Lord’s Supper: 7:00 p.m. (no morning Mass)
- Confession: 8:00 p.m. (no morning confessions)
- Prayer at the Altar of Repose: after Mass until midnight
- Bishop Lou’s pilgrimage: arrive 10-10:30 p.m. at St. Philomena
Good Friday (March 29)
- Confession: 12 – 2:30 p.m.
- Meditation on the Seven Last Words: 12:00 p.m.
- Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary: 1:00 p.m.
- Stations of the Cross: 2:00 p.m.
- Divine Mercy Chaplet: 2:30 p.m.
- Veneration of the Cross & Communion: 3:00 p.m.
- Tenebrae (evening prayers): 7:00 p.m.
ABSTAIN: ages 14+ bound to abstain from meat. FAST: ages 18-59 bound to fast. One full meatless meal is allowed. Two other meatless meals may be taken, but together should not equal another full meal. Eating between meals is not permitted but liquids including milk and fruit juices are allowed. When health would be seriously affected, the law does not oblige. To disregard completely the law of fast and abstinence is a serious matter.
Holy Saturday/Easter Vigil (March 30)
- Confession: 12 – 2:30 p.m. (no 8:30 a.m. or 3 p.m. confession)
- St. Philomena Easter Vigil Mass: 8:00 p.m.
