The annual Kelly Needham Memorial Blood Drive is Saturday, February 23 in the parish center banquet room from 8am-12pm. To make an appointment, contact the parish office during regular hours or go to www.redcrossblood.org and type in the sponsor code STPHILS.

Rachel’s Vineyard, a retreat for women and men struggling with the pain of abortion will be held the weekend of February 8-10, 2019 in the Peoria area. If you are a mother, a father, a grandparent, who has suffered the loss of abortion in your family — you need not suffer alone. Start your healing journey today by attending a Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat. Registrations are currently being accepted for this February 2019 weekend retreat. St. Philomena Parish offers a Montessori preschool for 3-year-old children, September-May, three days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We have a morning program 8:00 –11:00 am or afternoon program 12:00-3:00 pm. Join us for an Informational Parent Meeting for the 2019-20 school year on Thursday, February 7, 6:30-7:30 pm in our St. Philomena Parish Center banquet room. We will overview the curriculum and schedule, provide a tour of the classroom, and distribute admission packets. Men’s Club Smoker will be Sunday, March 3 from 12-5pm in the school gym.
Babysitter needed! If you are a St. Philomena parishioner (registered in our parish office and/or enrolled in our grade school) in grades 7-12 (boys and girls!) and interested in joining a babysitter club where we can help you connect with parish families who need sitters, please attend our informational meeting. This is not a commitment, just informational. Join us in the parish center banquet room at 3pm on Tuesday, February 5. There will be snacks! If you are interested, but can’t make this meeting, contact Jenny Witt in the parish office.
The Scouts of our Parish will celebrate Scouting and our Catholic Faith Sunday at the 9:00a.m. Mass. The Scouts who have earned religious awards will be recognized and the Scouts from our Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Girl Scout organizations will participate in the Mass. Please Join us after the 9:00 a.m. Mass for donuts, coffee and juice in the cafeteria.
There’s still time to pay on your ADA pledge. Payments made through February 2019 are counted toward our 2018 goal. Reminder: any shortfall in payments to our pledge is the responsibility of the parish. Right now we are $5,397 short on payments. Thank you to everyone who has paid off and is making payments on their 2018 pledge.
